The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
